ROWAN ATKINSON'S girlfriend left her ex-boyfriend James Acaster, for the Blackadder star, the comedian has revealed.

Rowan Atkinson, 66, met comedian and actress Louise Ford, 40, in 2013 while they were working on a play together. But Louise was dating comedian James Acaster, 36, at the time.

James recounted feeling as though Louise became distant when she started working on Quartermaine’s Terms with Rowan.
The pair had been together for two years and lived in the same house.
James has now spoken out on the break-up and how he found out his ex went on to date the Mr Bean actor after the split.
He said: “I got left for Mr Bean.

“I found out a year after we split up.
“I opened the newspaper and there was a full-page story.
"No one else in the history of time has ever been left for Mr Bean."
James said the astronomical proportions of Rowan’s fame mean he is often reminded of his previous relationship.

According to The Sun on Sunday, James added during one of his stand-up shows: “I’m a goddamn saint to have kept this in the back pocket so long.
“It’s my job to say things that are funny and the funniest thing that’s ever happened to anyone, happened to me and I put it on the back-burner out of respect.
“Until you get left for Mr Bean, you don’t realise how frequently he pops up.
"There’s a shop two streets from my house that sells masks of his face.

The former couple had been married for 24 years.
